Cian Byrne (RCYC) is lying best of the Irish in 30th after the first day of the International Summer Cup in Loctudy yesterday. Alexander Rumball (RStGYC) is next best in 41st followed by Peter McCann (RCYC) in 52nd. There are 176 entries in this fleet comprising the best of the French sailors and internationally qualified teams. Eoin Lyden (RCYC) is 8th and Sean Donnelly (NYC) 9th in the open division of 109 entries. The three Irish teams qualified for the next round in the team racing this morning.
