A huge congratulations to our three inspiring Optimist sailors — Dylan O’Sullivan, George Creighton, and Jamie Blennerhassett — who proudly represented the Club at the highly competitive 2025 British Nationals & Open Championships at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy last week.

With over 240 optimist sailors from the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, UAE, Switzerland, and Bermuda in attendance, the event brought together an elite fleet from across the globe. Through determination, resilience, and spirit, our young sailors stood tall among the best.

Following a demanding eight-race qualifying series and a six-race finals series, all three competitors delivered outstanding performances that not only exceeded expectations but reflected true club values — courage, perseverance, and teamwork. ⛵ We’re incredibly proud of Dylan, George, and Jamie.
