“The voyage of Berrimilla, a 33 foot yacht from Sydney, Australia to Ireland via Alaska and the North West passage. Gripping stuff and a must for all sailors; armchair or otherwise” – and so begins the fascinating blog of yachtsman Alex Whitworth.
Alex, who sailed from Australia to take part in this year’s Fastnet race, will give an illustrated talk entitled “A tiny boat, a Fastnet sandwich and a transit of the North West passage” in the club restaurant this Thursday at 9.30pm. All are welcome and the €5 entry fee will be donated to Crosshaven RNLI.
Don’t miss this extraordinary sailor’s tales of the Sydney to Hobart race, conversations with astronauts and much more..
