Amy Harrington has won the April/May League.

The results can be seen by clicking here.
Remember that Tuesday evening league racing commences this coming week (3rd June) with launching at 6pm sharp.
With several of the senior Optimist sailors competing in the Feva Munsters, it was the turn of the younger sailors to shine in todays racing. Cian Byrne had a 2nd and a 1st, Peter McCann a 1st and a 4th, Katherine Geoghegan a 4th and a 3rd. However, Patrick Crosbie nearly claimed the overall prize with a 3rd and a 5th today to almost oust Amy Harrington from the prizes.

This was a particularly notable result for Patrick and was just reward for his recent improvement in form. Looks like he will be up to the Gold Fleet from now on!
While Ewan O’Keeffe who just joined the class was 3rd overall and 1st Bronze – clearly he is one to watch for the future. John Durcan was 4th overall and 2nd Silver.
Katherine Geoghegan was 3rd in the silver fleet and Louise Shanahan (also from the Crosbie clan) was 2nd Bronze.
Overall there were 49 entries in the series which bodes well for our summer programme.
Tuesday evening league racing commences this Tuesday with launcing at 6pm sharp. Sailing suppers will be available in the club afterwards. The prizegiving for the April / May League will also be held after sailing.
