With a surge of late entries and the tantalizing prospect of ten 1720s joining the fleet, the anticipation for the Autumn Regatta is palpable. As the start is now so close competitors should make sure to consult the new Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race both available under the O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors Logo to the right of this article.
A full list of current entries is available online in the cruiser results section.
It is great to see the enthusiasm and to note that entries are now expected to equal or possibly even surpass those of 2010. Again, we have entries from Schull around to Dunmore East and all we need is the Weather Gods to favour us to some small degree.
Down to business: Would competitors please note the following:
In order to facilitate the rugby aficionados (I am sure the entire fleet) who would like to watch the Ireland vs Italy match starting at 8.30 am, breakfast will be available as well as take away food for the day at sea. This service will be provided by Anthony McCann. There should be a great atmosphere in the club and what a great start to the Autumn Regatta.
Due to the large number of Whitesail entries there will definitely be two Classes – Whitesail One and Two. The organizers have specifically asked that wherever possible it would be most helpful if registration could be completed by Saturday owing to the large numbers that will be on the site on Sunday as this would help the administration greatly.
Finally, it is important to note that F.G. on Sunday October 2nd only will be at 12.25 pm and again to please check the new Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race.
