SUNDAY 5th September 2021 – RCYC Navy Race
To continue the celebrations for the weekend, the annual Royal Cork Yacht Club Navy race will take place on Sunday the 5th September. The race will start in the vicinity of Weavers and the committee vessel will be a Navy Ship. Inline with last year, we are continuing with the coastal theme which saw 20 boats competing in 2020 in what was a very competitive race.
It is proposed/anticipated that we will use the coastal marks, Ringabella, Harp, Cork Bouy with a finish in the Harbour. Weather dependent we will seek to send the larger boats around the Sovereigns if possible. Unfortunately due to restrictions , competitors will not be returning to the Navy Base post sailing and the prizegiving will be held in Royal Cork at 17.30 hr
We really look forward to seeing you on the water this weekend to celebrate with the Irish Naval Service.
