70 Optimists in Cobbler League

The first day's racing in the Cobbler League attracted a record 70 boats from the Royal Cork, Kinsale, Tralee and Waterford. 3 races were completed in light conditions on the Curlane Bank with Killian O'Keeffe of the RCYC taking an early lead in the series from Aodh Kennedy and Colm O'Regan both of Kinsale.

In the Regatta Fleet, Jamie Tingle (RCYC) sailed very consistently with three second places and leads from Michael O'Donovan (RCYC) and John Mitchel (Kinsale).

Racing continues for the next 3 Sundays.

Parents should note that IODAI are running regional training in Crosshaven for those sailors who have registered. Training commences at 10am on Saturday 13th and 20th.
