4 Royal Cork Youth Sailors Honoured by ISA

No fewer than four Royal Cork youth sailors have been nominated for the coveted title of Youth Sailor of the Year 2011. Sophie Browne, fresh from her outstanding exploits in finishing 2nd girl at the Optimist Worlds in New Zealand, is the only girl nominated. Patrick Crosbie finished 3rd in the Topper Worlds in Dun Laoghaire, Seafra Guilfoyle was 2nd under 16 at the Laser 4.7 Europeans and Peter McCann was 5th at the Optimist European Championships in Portugal. In any other year any of them would probably be awarded the title. The other nominee is Philp Doran of Courtown Sailing Club.

The club can be justifiably proud of their achievements.
