Royal Cork Optimist sailors go into the second leg of the 2012 optimist trials in Dunmore East in a very strong position on the May bank holiday weekend. With 4 of the top 5 sailors from the Royal Cork after the first leg, we are in a good position to have some of our sailors make the top 5 places and thus represent Ireland at the Optimist Worlds in the Dominican Republic in July.
Coaches George Kingston and Katie Tingle were very pleased with all 19 sailors who performed exceptionally well under very difficult and tricky conditions in Dun Laoghaire last weekend. Well done to all and good luck in Dunmore East.
