Following on from the St.Patrick’s weekend Clinics, once again perfect sailing conditions prevailed for the Easter Clinics, with a steady 10 to 15 knots over the 4 days, and thankfully plenty of sunshine!
There were nearly 10 Coppers braving it to prepare for the May League and the upcoming Summer Leagues, it is fantastic to see our youngest Sailors on the water and looking forward to the May League.
The Transition group, those who will be competing in Main Fleet for this year’s Regional Events and the National Championships here in the RCYC were out in force, 16 in total developing their skills for our own Leagues and for some, the first National event of the season, the Youth Nationals in Howth Yacht Club next weekend.
Finally, our 24 Trialists were taking part in the final coaching Clinic under Diego, Lola and John before the first leg of the Trials next weekend in Howth Yacht Club. A season of winter coaching will culminate next weekend at the Trials and once again, we wish all our Trialists the very best of luck.
Overall, during the Easter coaching sessions we had a remarkable 50 Sailors on the water!
Again, a reminder that Darren O’Keefe’s beginner coaching will be on again this Saturday. The Trialists will be coaching so please make yourself available to help.
