Irish 1720 National Championships Baltimore Sailing Club

Anthony O’Leary sailing Antix took the first win of the series at the 1720 National Championships today at Baltimore followed by Denis Murphy’s Aquatack with Neil Hogan sailing Micam into third place.

The RCYC and the 420 Class Association of Ireland  have agreed that the "470 sailors of Ireland" run the 470 National Championship alongside the 420 Nationals on the 11th and 12th of September. This will be the ideal opportunity for 420 sailors to see "what comes next" after great years in the 420 class.

Cruiser Racer News Update

The SCORA (South Coast Offshore Racing Association)Championships will take place out of Cove Sailing Club on September 25th/26th.  From September 24th any competitors travelling to this event and who will be entering the O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors Autumn Regatta the following week will be  provided with berthage or moorings free of charge at the Royal Cork Yacht Club  to the end of the Autumn Regatta.

The Notice of Race (NOR) for the O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors Autumn Regatta at the Royal Cork Yacht Club is now available on the Royal Cork Website.  The Regatta will commence on Sunday, October 3rd and will continue the exciting format that was used for the first time last year.  This proved to be such a success it was copied by most of the major clubs around the country.

 
Neville Jewellers At Home Regatta (Sunday)

Today at the Royal Cork Yacht Club for the second day of the Neville Jewellers At Home regatta was a day that couldn’t have been better in any way.  The sun shone, there was a nice sailing breeze, described by one young lady sailing a J24 as a bit hairy at times, and on shore the festivities got into full swing.

End Of Season Cruising Muster

The End of Season Cruising Muster will take place on Saturday 11th September 2010.  This year the muster will take place at the new marina pontoon at the Port Of Cork, where we will stay overnight and return downriver the following morning, Sunday 12th.
