Sixth class pupils from the three Crosshaven national schools started their three day, ISA accredited, "Introduction to Sailing" course at the Royal Cork this morning.
The students and their principals were welcomed to the club by Rear Admiral of Dinghy Sailing, Dr. Larrie Martin and his team of Junior organisers and coaches.
We wish them all the best of luck with their course and we would like to thank the school principals for their continued participation and support for this annual event.

The ISA 2010 Schools Team Racing Championships took place in Galway recently. The Event was won by St Francis College, Rochestown, Cork led by Conor Lyden, while the runners up were Scoil Mhuire, Cork led by Emma Geary, Schull Community College in third place, CBC, Cork in fourth place and Presentation Boys College, Cork in fifth place. With 13 teams competing this was an excellent result for the Cork teams involved.

Contenders line up for Schull for the ISA Youth Nationals & Junior Pathway Championship 2010.
Philip Doran, the current Under 17 Laser Radial World Champion, to compete in the ISA Youth National & Junior Pathway Championship 2010, which takes place in the Fastnet Marine Outdoor Education Centre, Schull, Co Cork from 6th – 9th April.
This event is part one of the qualification process to represent Ireland at the ISAF Youth World Championship, along with selection for the ISA Topper and ISA Laser 4.7 squads to attend their respective World and European Championships. The Mitsubishi Youth Championship (1st - 3rd May Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin) is part two of this qualification process.
