Coaching to Commence Next Sunday PDF Print E-mail

Following on the success of the open day last Sunday, we will begin with an initial junior coaching programme starting this Sunday 12th September.  Donagh Good will lead a group starting with boat set-up, rigging and basic boat handling.  Participants will need their own boat (Radial or 4.7).  

Boats will need to be rigged by 11.00 and the group will launch at 12.00 after briefing and boat set-up.  It is essential that you register your interest in advance by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so we can get resources in place.  Turning up on the day may not guarantee inclusion on the course.  A nominal fee will be charge to offset expenses.

A total of 36 sailors participated in the Laser Open Day held at the club on Sunday 5th. September.  Under the watchful eye of Thomas Chaix, Nick Walsh and a group of 6 volunteers, 12 lasers were launched in superb 15 knot winds.

The following are boats which are for sale in the local area:

Laser 4.7 - sail number 167817.  Road trailer and launching trailer.  I have personally seen this boat and it will need some GRP repairs to the bow area.  Good value as a starter boat.  This boat is now on display in the club and can be viewed by arrangement with Nick Walsh.  Asking € 1,900 o.n.o.  Contact Pat Flaherty at 028-20933 or 086-1586043
