Racing commences on Sunday, 15 August, with the first race scheduled for 10.30AM and, as one would expect, there has been no shortage of activity since close of challenges for the 10th biennial Rolex Commodores’ Cup.

August 10th
Torrential rain and winds combined to upset the racing schedule for a lot of classes at Weymouth today. Some classes did not get to race at all and some were forced to abandon. The Star Class was fortunate to get in one race which brought an excellent result for Peter O'Leary and his German crew Frithiof Kleen. They finished in second place behind Xavier Rohart and Pierre Alexis Ponsot of France. Max Treacy and Anthony Shanks had a 12th position result. This leaves O'Leary and Kleen currently on 29 points with Treacy and Shanks on 60 points.
It seems Meteorologist Doug Chargo was correct in his predictions of the weather and lets hope that it will improve somewhat tomorrow as he has also predicted.
