This was the backdrop to the Try Sailing taster sessions which were due to take place at the Club yesterday.
While it was deemed too windy to take people out in the Club 1720’s, Miriam McMahon, Evanna Lyons and Julie Tingle made sure that 24 people got to sample the delights which our beautiful harbour has to offer by taking them out in some of the Club Ribs.
While disappointed at not being able to go sailing, they were delighted that they still got out on the water. Yesterdays event was to support the ISA’s joint initiative with the Irish Water Safety Authority called Try Sailing and the Cork Harbour Open Day.
Our own Try Sailing programme kicks off in earnest this week and will run every Tuesday and Thursday until September. Full details can be found here
