		<description><![CDATA[<p>All Class 1 Dinghies, the Dognose Trophy(originally scheduled for Sept 1st) will be run in conjunction with a great event in Lower Aghada to celebrate their new pontoon on Saturday July 14th. The Miss Betty(Class 2) and the Dognose(Class 1) were traditionally run together but we are having trouble locating this trophy, finding out when the Miss Betty was run last or who may have won it. I just wanted to give the &#8216;heads up&#8217; incase there are any Class 2 dinghies that might want to race for this trophy. If you have any information please contact your Class Captain. We will race around the cans and then down. There maybe be a short race down there to WOW the &#8230;</p>]]></description>

Lots of familiar names including Mark Mansfield (only learning), Michael McCann (disastrous first day), George Radley (only learning also), Ronan Lyden (guest appearance &#8211; really a Cadet sailor) and David Harte.&#8230;</p>]]></description>

</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class="MsoNormal">RCYC was represented by Orlagh Cotter, Gemma Doran, Laura McCarthy with their crews Stephen Curran, Sarah Fleming and Louise McCarthy.&#160; Racing got under way on Saturday morning, after several general recalls, in frustrating conditions with shifts, headers and lifts being the order of the day.&#160; Day two produced torrential rain, calms, gusts, thunder and lightning, with more shifty conditions.&#160; Laura and Louise McCarthy produced some great starts over the two days to finish third in the Bronze Fleet. &#160;They now join the Silver Fleet for the next Regional Event.&#8230;</p>]]></description>
